Fantastic result to provide a new Co-op Property C-store and 5 residential flats at the existing retail centre at the Birds Estate, within Chipping Sodbury.
This approval is that little bit more satisfying given the locality to our Yate office, and also that this re-development provides the community with the opportunity to retain the Tern Inn PH for the community, which they had all fought so hard to keep. We look forward to seeing and visiting the new store (and pub of course) when all open.
ADL initially provided a pre-app Transport Statement, followed by a full Transport Statement for planning. Further to submission Andy Miles worked pro-actively with the Council Highways Officers at South Gloucestershire to alleviate their concerns on visibility, and deliveries, whilst also recommending and agreeing reasonable off-site highway works to accommodate the pedestrian trips to the store.
